Whether you choose to travel to Leavenworth over the prairies of the east, the beautiful mountain passes from the west or arrive at Leavenworth’s new Icicle Station and let Amtrak do the driving, there is a reason to visit Leavenworth all through the year.

	Winter offers Christkindlmarkt and Christmas Lighting festivals all wrapped in a blanket of sparkling snow.  Enjoy a sleigh ride, sledding, cross country skiing and snow shoeing minutes from downtown Leavenworth.  Less than an hour away you can be at Stevens Pass or Mission Ridge for a day of downhill skiing or snowboarding.
	Spring is fragrant with apple blossoms.  The Bavarian tradition of Maifest is a weekend full of music, dancing and customs such as authentic dress and the grand march. Other fun festival weekends in the spring include Ale Fest and Bird Fest.
	Summer offers the outdoor enthusiast rock climbing, white water rafting, hiking, mountain biking or a round of golf.  The Sound of Music presented by the Leavenworth Summer Theater along with two other different presentations are very popular.
	Fall’s radiant colors will take your breath away.  Family fun is available at the Salmon and Autumn Leaf festivals.  Oktoberfest brings thousands of visitors to Leavenworth for three weekends in a row during the month of October.
